skii miracle essence

April 13, 2015

Finally, our lives are complete. Next month, SK-II will be putting their magical essences in convenient spray bottles, fulfilling our longtime wishes that our beloved Facial Treatment Essences would be more portable, and removing the need to struggle to transfer them into travel-friendly bottles each time we pack for a trip. Even SK-II ambassadors Cate Blanchett and Tang Wei have had SK-II in spray form on their wishlists, so this is really a long time coming.

So we are definitely getting our hands on the Mid-Day Miracle Essence and Mid-Night Miracle Essence, both made to replenish the skin with moisture that’s lost to the environment throughout the day and night. According to SK-II’s studies, the skin’s moisture levels drop particularly significantly from 4pm to 8pm as compared to in the start of the day, which pretty much explains why our makeup is usually crying out for a much-needed touch up around that time. Needless to say, if you’re spending a late night out, factors like alcohol, smoke, and fatigue will just continue to sap the life out of your poor skin cells. How these two Miracle Essences work is that they contains a high level of Pitera with a MoistureLock Complex in fine particles, to boost skin hydration throughout the day and night. The Mid-Night Miracle Essence also contains a cooling agent to soothe the skin at the end of the day, in addition to repairing it.

SK-II recommends using the Miracle Essences five times daily for best results – we’re making space in our cosmetic pouches for these two bottles already.

The SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence and Mid-Night Miracle Essence, $89 each. Available at all SK-II counters from May.
