Classic, versatile, and definitely made for walking – the humble ballerina flat. Salvatore Ferragamo famously created an iconic pair of round-toed suede ballerina shoes for Audrey Hepburn in 1954, and now, it’s been updated with a modern twist for Spring/Summer 2015.
True to the DNA of the brand, the Ballerina Shoe symbolises the allure of the Salvatore Ferragamo woman. The shoe features one of Salvatore’s key patents – the special Opanca sole inspired by the Opanke, moccasins worn by Native Americans. Combining heritage with modern style like the adjustable elasticated strap on the upper, the Ballerina Shoe makes for an extremely comfortable walk.
The Ballerina Shoe comes in various textures – patent leather, laser-cut lace effect nappa, striped fabric, suede with denim-effect; and an array of colours including classic shades of Ferragamo Red and Oxford Blue, and seasonal hues of Macaron, New Iris, and New Optic White. Available now in all Ferragamo boutiques and priced from $820.
