Time to get comfortable being in the nude. We’re not talking about what you think – it’s time to get the perfect shade of nude lip colour into your routine, is what we mean. As much as we love a bold lip, step away from the brights and the darks once in a while, and paint your puckers in subtle nuances of pink, peach, and beige. It could be to let your smoky eye stand out better, or just to complete a subtle makeup look. Whatever it is, Sephora’s putting their whole arsenal of nude lip tools under the spotlight as they run their Nude Lips Campaign from 14 May to 10 June, and there’s something for every texture and shade. Prepare to go buff:
If you’re a regular lipstick bullet kind of girl, Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Lip Gels ($42) now come in a whole New Nudes collection, made up of seven shades of neutral. The gel formula contains 3D volumising agents, so your puckers look fuller as well.
The super-lightweight formulas of stains are great for when you don’t want to feel like there’s anything sitting on your lips. The Sephora Rouge Infusion ($22) also has a The Neutrals collection, and can be layered on depending on how the colour intensity you want.
We love the impact of liquid lipsticks, and the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick ($30) comes in a whole range of high-intensity shades, including some great colours for a bold nude lip, if you know what we mean.
For the days when it’s really the sheerest wash of colour that you want. Stila’s Colour Balm Lipstick ($32) conditions the lips while adding a wash of nude suited to your skintone (it comes in three shades for fair, medium and dark skin).
All available at Sephora stores.
