Question: What do you think of when the name, Chanel, comes to mind?
Answer: Tweed, chains and of course: their signature quilting detail. If you got that right, then listen up: this fall, Chanel is reinventing their Fall/Winter ’15 Eyewear Collection with these key elements of what makes chanel, well… Chanel.

The Tweed

The signature Tweed is reserved exclusively for their ultra feminine butterfly frame and masculine rectangular model of sunglasses in the eyewear collection. They come in a range of muted hues like black, blue, navy, dark violet — or even the classic tortoiseshell in shades of brown, yellow, olive green and grey. Their raw appearance is countered with a delicate metal CC logo, casted into the temples.

The Quilt

Sunglasses as well as eyeglasses come with glacier blue, sea green, dusty pink and marron glace frosted frames, enhanced with quilted temples in a variety of shapes — oval, square, rectangular and the cat eye. Like every other pair in this collection, the signature CC is also casted onto the temples, giving it a subtle hint of elegance and femininity.

The Chain

This recurring element in Chanel bags as well as their other range of glasses comes back this season, this time with its flat-link metal chain  from the 2.55 handbag — an iconic handbag of the house. This line comes in a wide variety of shapes and colours. Choose from XL Square, flat brow, butterfly, round, rectangular and oval with colours like black, taupe, raspberry, khaki, olive oil or the textural finishes of tweed or fur.

Chanel eyewear will be available at Chanel boutiques from June 2015 onwards.
