It’s the first time PUMA is working with LA-based luxe streetwear brand, Stampd, in a collaboration that will combine PUMA’s sporting legacy with Stampd’s innate understanding of current modern high-street trends. To kick off the new Stampd Athletics by PUMA collection (to be unveiled next month), the luxe contemporary label known for its minimalistic, timeless pieces uses PUMA’s iconic R698 silhouette as their choice of canvas to work on. This model debuted the brand’s most advanced running technology back in 1989 – the Trinomic cushioning system. This hexagonal system was embedded within the sole and consisted of cells that collapsed and expanded with every step to ensure comfort for the wearer. The “Desert Storm” R698 is fully decked out in an off-white colour palette, featuring premium nubuck leather and suede on its upper with reflective 3M details throughout and a perforated vamp. To complete the look, the tongue is tastefully embossed with the Stampd logo.
The Stampd x PUMA “Desert Storm” R698 will retail for SG$210 at Limited Edt, Leftfoot and Stampd’s Online Store from 6 June.
