Topman has teamed up with one of Japan’s oldest mills, Kurabo Mills, to bring us a new range of raw Japanese selvedge. Kurabo Mills, one of Japan’s oldest mills, dates back to 110 years ago, and is the originator of Japanese selvedge denim. Selvedge is derived from the phrase, “self-edge”, which refers to the natural end of a roll of fabric that prevents unravelling when used in denim clothing items.
The jeans are made of natural indigo dyes that cause a one-of-a-kind fading pattern in the jeans, and the more you wear them, the more unique they will look. Created with durability in mind, these jeans seem like your next go-to pair of trusty denims. The range offers two jeans designs, cut in classic slim fit and have a worn vintage or raw finish. On top of that, try on the selvedge denim jacket for an effortlessly cool and casual look.
The Japanese selvedge pieces are part of the Topman LTD range and are available at Topman ION Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn #B3-02, and online at sg.topman.com. Jeans are priced at $196 and the jacket is priced at $223.
