Not literally. HTC recently released the ultra exclusive Limited Edition One M9 INK handset, created in collaboration with fashion icon and supermodel Jourdan Dunn.
HTC taps into the world’s passion and fascination with body art. This smartphone is the first of its kind, boasting a body art-inspired, one-off illustration that’s engraved onto its back. Apart from that, HTC has taken visual cues from the HTC One M9’s brushed metal two tone finishes (gold on gold and silver on gold) to recreate the HTC INK design onto temporary metallic body art, which Jourdan flaunts in Matt Irwin’s (leading fashion photographer) photos.
Jourdan worked together with leading artist Cally-Jo, who created Rihanna’s henna-style hand inking, to come up with the first ever HTC INK design. The final piece is a reflection of Jourdan’s feelings about the next step in her career, her excitement over her upcoming creative design projects and of course, the ability to express her own unique style through the partnership with HTC.
“Body art is an important part of my look and as I don’t go anywhere without my phone, it makes perfect sense to combine the two to create a uniquely personalised accessory. The opportunity to work with a brand that is famous for design and to put my own creative stamp onto a beautiful looking handset was something that really appealed to me, with the HTC One M9 INK really capturing my personality,” Jourdan said.
