One of our favourite sportswear brands is bringing us another must-have shoe. From the creators of the Air Max, Flyknit, Roshe, and Free, Nike now presents the Nike Air Zoom Elite 8, the lightest member of the Nike Zoom training footwear family. Here’s everything you need to know about the shoe that satisfies your need for speed.
Suitable for both training and competition, the shoe’s streamlined propulsion allows the runner to stay quick and light. Your forefoot, which is used to strike at high speeds, will be better protected with the responsive cushioning. The shoe’s deep flex grooves under the forefoot also allow for natural motion and the lateral crash rail that flexes on contact with the ground cushions and smoothens the landing-takeoff process.
As you run, you’d want to be in control and the lowered offset at 8mm maintains you closely to the ground. The ultra-thin outsole further ensures security with added traction sans any added weight.
In terms of fitting, the Nike Air Zoom Elite 8 is sleek, form-fitting, and breathable – with mesh and a no-sew upper, you’re provided with adequate breathable support without any extra weight. Your midfoot is locked down with asymmetrical lacing, and Nike Flywire technology allows a secure yet adaptive fit.
The Nike Air Zoom Elite 8 is available in Nike stores at $179.
