So yesterday there was this announcement of a new festival coming our way in November. While it looks like just another music festival, it really isn’t. The organisers of Neon Lights have pegged it to be the “new major music and art destination festival” that’s set to bring something fresh in our region’s festival circuit. While it’s not as huge as Coachella, it certainly is going in that direction with their exciting line-up of both international and local music, dance, theatre, comedy, art and design installations, spoken word and even, yes, children’s workshops; making this festival friendly for all ages.

Taking place over two days on 28th and 29th November, this multi-sensory experience will be set across Fort Canning’s three main outdoor spaces to accommodate the festival’s six stages. At this point, 16 music acts has been announced for the super eclectic line-up, some you might have heard of and some you have not. While we’re still two months ahead, why not get familiar with their music?

“All our favourite outdoor music festivals from around the world have great arts, great food and a real sense of family as integral to their offering. While Neon Lights is first and foremost a music- lovers festival, it’s also for people who are looking for something more – performance, workshops, installations, comedy, delicious food and other surprises, all combining to make one of the most nourishing, uplifting weekends of the year. That’s the aspiration,” producer & arts programme director Jennifer Jennings said.

Neon Lights happens on 28th & 29th November at Fort Canning Park. Early Bird & Family Weekend Tickets are available on 8 September, 9am via the festival’s website and SISTIC. Sale of Single Day and Group tickets will be announced soon.
