A bunch of pretty exciting fragrance launches have been or are about to be launched, so here’s a roundup of the nice-smelling things in pretty bottles that you can spritz on yourself. We have a suggestion for every preference, we promise.

Aesop Tacit Eau de Parfum, $135 for 50ml

Fans of Aesop’s brand of understated luxury are likely to favour Tacit – the word refers to something that is implicitly understood without the need to express it obviously, which pretty much sums up the characteristics of this fragrance. Vetiver heart from Haiti, basil oil from Egypt and yuzu accord native to East Asia, the ingredients blend together to form a crisp and contemporary scent that would suit a worldly-wise globetrotter.

Available at Aesop stores.

Calvin Klein Eternity Now Eau de Parfum, $73 for 30ml; $100 for 50ml; $132 for 100ml

This is the heady rush of new love bottled, according to Calvin Klein. That means a “bright addictive floral” scent, opening with nectarine and lychee, going into a heart of peony, peach blossoms and neroli petals, and drying down into cashmere veil, ambrox and a sensual musk.

Available at major departmental store fragrance counters from Oct 2015.

DKNY Fragrance Fall Limited Edition Eau de Toilette, $80 for 100ml

For all of you who feel like you’re rising from the ground, like a skyscraper – to borrow famous words from Demi Lovato. This limited edition fragrance is inspired by the skyscrapers of NYC, and is very much for the city girls with bright notes of pink pepper, Italian bergamot and pineapple blossom, drying down into vanilla, cedarwood and sheer musk.

Available at Sasa stores.

Giorgio Armani ARMANI CODE Satin Eau de Parfum, $125 for 75ml

Take the original exuberant ARMANI CODE fragrance and amp up the seductive factor, and you get the ARMANI CODE Satin that makes use of sweet orange essence, a ginger and pear sorbet accord, neroli essence and cocoa absolute to play a sweet seduction game.

Available at major departmental store fragrance counters.

Kenzo FlowerByKenzo Classic Eau de Parfum, $91 for 30ml; $128 for 50ml; $177 for 100ml

This isn’t a new fragrance, but Kenzo has finally brought in the eau de parfum version of the well-loved FlowerByKenzo scent to the Singapore market, so we’re stoked that our favourite luminous floral fragrance is now longer-lasting on the skin. Same notes of Bulgaria rose, parma violet, hawthorne and cassis with a touch of vanilla, white musk and incense.

Available at Kenzo counters and Sephora from end-Oct 2015.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Vitae Forte Eau de Parfum, $325 for 70ml

A unisex fragrance that is about capturing the way the sun hits the skin on a summer day, which makes it suited for Singapore year-round. A woody floral scent with notes of Sicilian mandarin, bergamot, and lemon, with hints of spice from Ceylon cinnamon, Guatemalan cardamom and Sichuan pink pepper.

Available at escentials stores.

Miu Miu Eau de Parfum, $113 for 50ml; $152 for 100ml

This is not a straightforward scent – it was designed to be a contradiction, opening up with sensual floral notes of lily of the valley, jasmine, and rose absolute; but closing with a earthy base of wood, pepper and a patchouli extract. Get this if you’re the kind who likes to be unexpected.

Available at The Shilla Duty Free at Changi Airport.

Narciso Rodriguez For Her L’Absolu Eau de Parfum, $104 for 30ml, $157 for 50ml, $198 for 100ml

Carry an air of mystery around you with this intense ultra-feminine scent holding notes of jasmine, amber and sandalwood, with the signature Narciso musc remaining at the heart. An enigmatic combination that will probably leave people wondering what you’re smelling of, in an entirely good way, of course.

Available at major departmental store fragrance counters.

Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme Eau de Parfum, $115 for 30ml; $168 for 50ml; $255 for 100ml

Tom Ford doesn’t make wallflower scents, so naturally, this female version of the original Tom Ford Noir for men is all about a woman’s duality, celebrating her vulnerable side that coexists with her assuredness. It’s a floral oriental scent, with citrus and spice, mandarin oil and bitter orange, and ginger extract to open the fragrance with a statement. At the heart are rose absolute, jasmine and orange flower, with vanilla, amber and sandalwood at the base.

Available at Tom Ford counters.
