The first time we dipped our fingers into liquid foundation, it was with the L’Oréal Paris True Match. It’s one of the stars of the drugstore makeup counters, with its ability to blend so seamlessly into the skin, even in the hands of makeup newbies (like we were when we first picked this up), and comprehensive range of shades for the varied skintones of local girls.

We’re not surprised the True Match has been touted the “world’s best foundation” (according to Nielsen research across 20 international markets, including Singapore) – since it’s makeup that’s all about celebrating diversity. It’s just got even better, as L’Oréal has updated the formula with a new hybrid pigment that adds colour intensity while retaining transparency, to avoid the foundation looking like it’s been caked onto your face. There’re also new dry milling pigments that are the finest ever to go into the formulation of this foundation, to micro-fuse with the skin even if you don’t use a brush, while the addition of glycerin, Vitamin E and Vitamin B5 to the new formula ensures it feels good on the skin. It’s time to rediscover our first liquid foundation once this hits drugstores next month.
