Even before Apple unveiled its iPhone 6S and 6S Plus with its 4K recording capabilities, Sony was the first to introduce to the world a 4K smartphone. The Xperia Z5 Premium has a 5.5-inch 4K TRILUMINOS™ Display for mobile and IPS, providing stunning detail to create accurate, natural images at four times the resolution of Full HD. One of the great things about this phone is that it’ll upscale your favourite content to 4K, whether it they’re native or third party videos or photos (yes you can watch stuff on Netflix or YouTube in vibrant 4K detail). It’s powered by the Snapdragon 810 processor and comes with a 3430 mAh battery (that can last up to two days) that has a quick charge capability to render the need for regular charging obsolete. The Xperia Z5 Premium’s new 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS™ for mobile 23-megapixel sensor and f/2.0 G lens is Sony’s first reimagined smartphone camera module since its Xperia Z1, complete with Sony’s α™ camera technology. It can autofocus at a speed of 0.037 seconds, which is faster than the blink of an eye. While you’re reviewing your 4K video footage, you’ll still be able to screenshot any still from it and get a whooping 8-megapixel image. Also, you won’t have to worry about space for all your 4K videos and photos as the Xperia Z5 Premium has an expandable microSD card (up to 200GB) on top of the 32GB internal memory.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium will be available from November 2015 at $1,098.
