Back in 2008, PUMA teamed up with Australian independent magazine that covers anything and everything under the sun about sneakers, Sneaker Freaker, to create two shark-inspired colourways of PUMA’s revolutionary running model, the Trinomic Blaze of Glory (BOG). Inspired by the unfortunate incident of an abalone diver who survived after being swallowed up to the waist by a Great White Shark off the Australia’s East Coast, Sneaker Freaker has translated that bloody encounter onto the BOG for their latest collab. The “Bloodbath” sneakers see a crimson red upper with turquoise accents (to symbolise water) on the white midsole, blood red stitching and black plastic eyes. Tied to the laces, an anodised shark tooth dangles to complete the look. The sneakers are packed inside an oversized box on an egg-shell foam and includes extra insoles an a leather lace pouch.

Check out what went down at the launch in New York last month:

The PUMA x Sneaker Freaker Blaze of Glory “Bloodbath” is available exclusively at Limited Edt Vault (313@Somerset #04-13/14) for $260.
