When a huge franchise like James Bond is releasing a new film, you can expect huge collaborations. This one’s so big that it’s literally out of this world. To celebrate their 18-year partnership, Heineken teams up with the James Bond franchise once again to immerse audiences into the world of 007 in lieu of the highly anticipated film, Spectre. Pushing the boundaries of modern technology (just like in the James Bond films), Heineken presents the world’s first-ever selfie from space, aptly called “Spyfie”. They’ll be working with Canadian company UrtheCast to utilise the ultra-high definition cameras installed on the International Space Station, which is currently in orbit 600km above the Earth’s surface, to shoot this “Spyfie” from space. On 5th November, a Spyfie event will take place for attendees from all over the world, Singapore included. But there can only be one winner.
To participate, grab a bunch of stuff you’d take to join this event, lay them out nicely (or in any way you deem fit), take a photo and post it on your own Instagram account with the hashtags #Spyfie and #HeinekenSG from now till 22nd October. The winner will be announced on 23rd October. Check out what people have been posting through the hashtags to get inspired. There are no restrictions on the number of photos you can submit.
Fans who can’t wait for the film to premiere can access behind-the-scenes footage from five of the movie’s locations (Mexico City, Rome, London, Austria and Morocco) and content with Daniel Craig by purchasing the special edition Heineken 20s Spectre Pack. Using your mobile phones, scan the logo on the cans to unlock this exclusive content. They’re available at all leading hypermarkets and supermarkets for $58.40.
