Yep, they’re back! Which means more Instagram posts of the iconic red cups on wooden tables, or held in front of the camera… all of which we don’t mind because underneath all that hype, we can’t help but love them too. That Toffee Nut Latte especially. The holiday drinks are full of the usual suspects, but there are plenty of baked goods to look forward to too.

Firstly, what’s new: a Christmas Panettonne Latte, which doesn’t sound as familiar to us, but is actually based on a popular Italian Christmas pastry, with its sweet buttery aroma and orange, cranberry, apple sprinkles. Here are the familiar festive favourites: Toffee Nut Latte, Gingerbread Latte, and the Peppermint Mocha. These are all available hot, iced, or as a Frappucino, priced from $7.10.

Then, there are the desserts and snacks – all 9 new items on the menu – but here are some of the highlights.

For one, a Chocolate Praline Log Cake ($6.90) that’s decadent and luxurious, with rich chocolate praline with hazelnut that’s topped off with gold dust. Next, a Mont Blanc Tart ($7.50) that’s really popular in Europe and Japanese bakeries actually, made with a rich chestnut cream that’s balanced with a crumbly pastry tart that’s lined with chocolate.

The Sticky Ginger Date Pudding ($6.50) sounds really good too. Served warm, the crystallised ginger elevates the typical dish, and goes together nicely with the melted caramel sauce.

Finally, the Triple Turkey Pie ($5.90) falls under the savoury selections, and it has the flaky pastry of chicken pie, except it comes with three different types of turkey – ham, bacon & smokey turkey, finished with aromatic herbs and mixed peas.
