We’ve had a longtime love affair with Clio’s Waterproof Pen Liner Kill Black, as it’s a reliable jet black liquid liner that we can count on to smudge all over our undereye area. Best part: it’s drugstore, and is available at drugstore prices!
Turns out Clio’s Kill Brow range of brow products is pretty rave-worthy as well, as it includes a good variety of formulas that will suit any brow style you want to do. Here they are, modelled by the inimitable Clio ambassador Gong Hyo Jin (we’ve talked about how much we love her before). After this, no more excuses for leaving the house with bad brows.
If you consider yourself a brow beginner, stick to brow pencils since those are the most straightforward to control, plus they also won’t dispense the colour in harsh lines. The Clio Kill Brow Tattoo-Lasting Brow Pencil is a double-ended tool with a soft gel pencil on one side and a spooly brush on the other. So just fill in your brows with a few strokes of the pencil end, then even it out by brushing through brow hairs with the brush.
Clio Kill Brow Tattoo-Lasting Brow Pencil, $14.90, in No. 1 Natural Brown and No. 2 Light Brown.
This look is all about keeping brow hairs neatly in place with a brow mascara, on top of filling them in with colour. The Kill Brow All Day Tattoo Brow Cara has a dual-comb brush, which means one side with shorter bristles than the other, a design that ensures even application and keeps the product from clumping brow hairs. Keep this tool close if you have fuller brows.
Clio Kill Brow All Day Tattoo Brow Cara, $17.90, available in No. 1 Natural Brown and No. 2 Light Brown.
For the days when you want just a hint of colour on your brows, go for a brow pen like the Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow. This one is a bit more special as it contains a plant-based ingredient called dihydroxyacetone, which actually reacts with the amino acids in the skin to produce a temporary brow tint. So you actually put it on at night before bed, and in the morning, just top up with a bit of brow mascara. To keep the colour going, reapply every 2 to 3 days.
Clio Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow, $23.90, available in No. 1 Earth Brown and No. 2 Soft Brown.
When it’s strong brows you’re after, go straight for a brow kit that offers a selection of brows to properly contour. The Kill Brow Conte Powder Kit is a palette of two brow shades and a fixing wax, plus a round blending brush, angled brush and brow comb. The trick is to start with the darker colour, filling in from the centre of your brows to the ends. Then, use the lighter colour to fill in from the centre to the inner corners, to give brows a proper multi-dimensional look. The fixing wax goes on as a last step, to lock the colour in place.
