Hair mists aren’t at all new – many fragrance houses launch a hair fragrance together with the actual perfume. They’re really a lot more essential than you’d expect, too, what with how often Singaporeans dine at hawker centres and indoor food courts, where nasty fumes cling to the hair for the entire day after.

So, always keep a bottle of hair fragrance in your bag. Here, we picked the four coolest ones we know.

Chanel Chance Eau Vive Hair Mist

chanel chance

The house of Chanel has a good number of iconic scents that have each garnered their own cult followings, and the Chance Eau Vive is no exception. It might be the most recent addition to Chanel’s line of fragrances, and is a bright floral scent that comes in the cutest of round bottles. The hair mist will be made available at the end of the year, and we’re glad they decided to keep the bottle design.

POA, available at CHANEL Beauty stores and counters from 31 Dec.

Byredo Gypsy Water Hair Perfume

Gypsy Water is one of cult Swedish perfume house Byredo’s most iconic scents, for its smoky notes of bergamot, pepper, incense and sandalwood that make an intriguing, but not overwhelming, fragrance. Yes, it’s the kind of perfume that we want to constantly spray all over ourselves, so we’re really glad it comes in a hair perfume version.

$78, available at escentials Paragon.

Sachajuan Protective Hair Perfume

Sachajuan is a haircare brand, not a perfumer – but the signature Sachajuan scent that this hair perfume dispenses is one of fresh lychee, peach and rose. And perhaps because it’s from a haircare brand, this multi-tasking hair perfume also moisturises, reduces static, adds shine, and gives UV protection.

$98, available on luxola.com

Balmain Paris Hair Couture Silk Hair Perfume

What with the H&M x Balmain #Balmaination craze that’s been ongoing, we feel like our hair needs to get some Balmain too. And guess what! Turns out the fashion house has a Hair Couture line too! This one smells like “summer”, and contains silk proteins infused with argan oil, so it kind of functions as a leave-in conditioner, too.

US$44, available on net-a-porter.com
