Yay! It’s our favourite time of the year, especially if we’re travelling to countries that actually have four seasons. And if you’re going somewhere cold like Japan in the next few months, that also calls for a healthy dose something that isn’t really practical in Singapore – layering. This season, Nike has combined two of their best technologies to help us battle the cold weather – the Tech Fleece and Aeroloft technologies. The former uses plush foam that’s placed between two layers of cotton jersey, creating a tri-layer lightweight fabric that insulates and moves together with your body. The 800-fill down feature of the Nike Aeroloft technology then maintains this heat until your body produces its own. The strategically placed laser-cut perforations between the down chambers provide circulation so that excess heat can escape the garment. Design wise, the utilitarian men’s iteration features compartmentalised media storage pockets, scuba hoods and high collars to further protect the wearer, while the women’s sees sleek design lines, contemporary silhouettes and various hidden details.
