We know many who swear by the shu uemura cleansing oils – they truly are the gold standard in cleansers, with each variation made to treat your skin to a cleansing experience using ingredients that leave you with better skin over time. The Ultime8 Sublime Cleansing Oil is the most luxurious of its stable of cleansing oils, with eight botanical oils such as jojoba oil, olive oil, ginger root oil and shea butter oil, which combined help to improve elasticity and suppleness, prevent the formation of wrinkles and melanin, and boost overall hydration.

And now, they’ve completely changed the game with this new launch: the Ultime8 Sublime in a cleansing balm form. This is the first time ever shu uemura has done a cleansing balm, and it’s meant to be used as a special treatment two to three times a week for more intensive cleansing.

The formula contains the new Precious Marine Renovator, which renews the skin with mother-of-pearl protein to boost skin elasticity, brown algae extract to improve skin cell turnover rate, and the active ingredient pro-xylane to increase collagen expression. You’re supposed to massage it onto your entire face to relax the facial muscles, stimulate microcirculation, and firm up the facial contours. Will cleansing balms be the next big thing in 2016? We hope so, if they all feel as good as this one.
