First, NET-A-PORTER made it way, way easier for us to get our hands on the coveted Mansur Gavriel bags. And now, the luxury e-retailer’s getting us excited all over again – by making sure that we can add Mansur Gavriel’s shoes to our checkout carts.
They happen to be the first global retailer to do so, by the way.
Mansur Gavriel, the wildly popular accessories brand, should be no stranger to you, having seen a meteoric rise over the last two years, thanks to their philosophy of clean lines and proportions, which they then apply to bucket bags and classic totes. We’re talking about sold-out bags, the world over. So, their debut shoe line, launched in September, opened to much fanfare.
Sure, they’re fairly simple designs, in just four styles of various heel heights, and in suede and tanned vegetable leather, but what makes the shoes appealing is precisely that simplicity. And the fact that they come in an array of bright shades, such as yellow, pink and red. These will be sold online a whole two weeks before any other retailer.
Mansur Gavriel shoes, available in six colourways and priced from USD395, will be available on NET-A-PORTER.COM from February 2016.
Along with that February launch, NET-A-PORTER will also be treating us to Eddie Borgo’s first-ever collection of handbags. While the designer usually delves into jewellery, he now applies his expert knowledge of metal to the handles and clasps of these leather goods. You can expect the hardware to be especially exquisite.
The classic and neutrally-shaded designs of his vanity bags, saddle and clutch will be sold online, while the retailer will also launch the exclusive Eliza, a matte calf leather shoulder bag named after NET-A-PORTER’s Vice President of Global Buying, Sarah Rutson’s daughter, who together with her mother, have been instrumental in the design process of the bags.
The Eliza, along with all four styles, priced from $795, will be available exclusively on NET-A-PORTER.COM from February 2016.
