Last Saturday morning, we got up bright and early to head to the InterContinental Hotel, where we entered one of the function rooms to find K-Beauty skincare and makeup essentials from LANEIGE all laid out on the tables.
It’s hard not to get super excited just looking at all of that.
We were there, together with an exclusive guest list of NYLON Singapore readers, for the LANEIGE x NYLON Singapore School Of K-Beauty Workshop, to pick up tips and tricks from the brand’s experts on how to nail K-Beauty looks using the latest Two Tone Collection.
LANEIGE Singapore’s trainer Tina Oh kicked off the session with an introduction to the brand’s whitening White Plus line, going into the technologies behind star products such as the White Plus Renew Skin Refiner and White Plus Renew Original Essence_EX. After all, a big part of K-Beauty is a bright, luminous visage, all the better to show off the colours of the makeup.
And after getting our faces clean and bare and layering on the White Plus Renew line, we were ready to start with the makeup. LANEIGE’s bubbly Global Trainer Cat Koh, the brand’s makeup expert all the way from the Seoul headquarters, dispensed practical advice on keeping our base makeup long-lasting and shine-free, before moving on to how to use the new Two Tone Shadow Bars and new Two Tone Lip Bar shades to create four different looks.
LANEIGE sticks to one important rule at its beauty workshops, and it’s that participants have to try putting on the makeup by themselves. Everyone gladly followed this rule, trying out applying the Two Tone colours on themselves with a little help from the LANEIGE beauty advisors on hand, and Cat herself.
