What Gamers Can Expect from Sony’s Playstation VR

Scheduled to release in Singapore on 13 October, Sony’s highly anticipated Playstation VR has plenty of features that gamers are interested in, and for good reason.
First of all, the simulated immersive environment created by the VR headset stretches up to 5-metres, creating a fantastical ‘reality’ that makes you forget you’re actually playing a video game.
The fact that the headset weighs just 610g adds to the illusion of being in another ‘dimension’. You just don’t feel that there’s anything on your head!
The virtual reality headset will also enable gamers to play more than 60 VR games, including the highly anticipated Batman Arkham, and other cool titles like Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Robinson: The Journey, and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. If you want to support Asian game developers, you can check out Mortal Blitz VR by SKONEC Entertainment Co., Ltd (Korea), O! My Genesis by XPEC ENTERTAINMENT INC. (Taiwan), and Stifled by Gattai Games (Singapore).
So what device do you require in order to make full use of your virtual reality gaming experience? Well, it goes without saying that owning a PS4 is a must, but you can’t do without Playstation Move controllers either. Without these controllers, you won’t be able to enjoy the Playstation VR’s max capabilities.
If you don’t have Playstation Move controllers, the Playstation VR also allows you to enjoy regular games in cinematic mode, though we strongly encourage you to buy these controllers if you’re thinking of getting the headset. If not, you might just be wasting your hard-earned cash.
Besides VR gaming, you can also enjoy streamed content from Netflix and Hulu in cinematic mode, as well as a range of videos and images in 360° views.
