Second-hand items are hot. Don’t believe us? Macklemore’s hit song ‘Thrift Shop’ is proof of that. But being more than just a recent hipster-fashion fad, pre-owned goods have always been a huge part of charitable society, with donations and the like.
That’s something that CASIO is highlighting this October with its ‘Time for Good – A Good Deed for a Good Deal’, an initiative that aims to help the underprivileged as part of its 15th anniversary.
So how does the initiative work? Well, if you’ve got a watch, you can head over to any G-Factory store and donate your timepiece, which will then make its way to a select list of welfare and children’s homes. Your donated watch can be from any brand, but it must be in good working condition. CASIO also reserves the right to reject counterfeit pieces. Do this simple act, and you get to enjoy a 15% storewide discount off any CASIO purchase, except the G-SHOCK MR-G collection.
“True to CASIO’s spirit of giving back to the community, we would also like to keep in mind the less fortunate amongst us while celebrating this important milestone. We hope to share the joy of giving with our customers by empowering them to be a part of this movement.” said Mr Johnny Ng, General Manager, Timepiece Division, CASIO Singapore.
Interested in doing a good deed for a good deal? This initiative is available at all G-Factory stores as well as the Takashimaya outlet, and will run from now till 6 November 2016. Visit www.casio-intl.com.
