You can only imagine the huge ruckus which came along with the announcement of H&M and Kenzo’s collaboration last May. Since then, we’ve been generously teased from time to time by the collaborative collection, reeling us back into a frantic craze with exclusive sneak peeks into the collection’s look book. And finally, the wait is over; the official Kenzo x HnM lookbook is out, starring a diverse cast of talented, passionate and creative personalities, who all serve as a vibrant muse in relation to the wild, quirky collection itself.
From what we see so far, we’re looking at bold clash of colours and a slew of tiger stipe prints, festival prints and billowing, vivacious proportions which inherently embodies founder Kenzo Takada’s ostentatious taste in fashion. The prospect of spreading Kenzo’s once-exclusive electric vibes across the world to masses is invigorating, and we’re sure millions will channel that energy into dashing across the H&M stores in a desperate attempt to own a piece from the collection.
Just a heads up, we’ve already got our eyes on the pink jacquard knitted tiger shaft boots and oversized leather jacket with pink faux-shearling lining. You’ll have to wrestle us for these (we may not be kidding). We’ll just be eagerly counting down the days till November, when the range will hit stores. Till then, we may have to work on our stamina and agility in order to land one of these puppies.
The KENZO x H&M collection, POA. Available at H&M Orchard Building and H&M ION Orchard from November 3 onwards.hm.com.
