Trend reports are in: Deep, luscious, burgundy lips are the rage this spring, after models at the recent New York Fashion Week were spotted strutting down runways in the sultry shade. Makeup artists had, unanimously picked out their favourite from the many brands available — and this might actually shock you, because you too, could pick one up at your nearest drugstore.

It really doesn’t come as much surprise of the bold shade being a crowd favourite — it is sexy and beautiful, and Maybelline has indeed perfected their Colour Sensational range with a creamy formula that glides on the lips easily for a long-wearing satin finish.
For those who are not yet ready to jump on board the whole bold look trend, start soft by dabbing the colour onto your lips for a sheer berry-rosy effect. That way you can control how deep the colour you’d like your lips to be. As for the ones who’d prefer a more lived-in look, apply the lipstick in the middle parts of your lips and blend them outwards for a more smudge-y, natural look. The more adventurous ones may choose to dive right into applying the burgundy shade onto their eyes as well, either as a glossy/smokey shadow, or as a funky eyeliner.
Now, while the lipstick might already be of the drugstore range, lipstick junkies like us would know that one is never enough.
