It looks like metallic colourways are going to be one of the next big sneaker trends in 2017 — after draping the Stan Smith in metallic silver and metallic copper just a few weeks ago, Adidas has now given the recently unveiled Superstar BOOST the reflective treatment as well.
Available in bronze and silver (still waiting for that gold, Adidas), these sneakers admittedly aren’t as reflective as their Stan Smith counterparts, but will no doubt make a bold fashion statement nonetheless. While the silver colourway remains relatively unchanged, the bronze actually looks a lot more like a rose gold shade — a design choice we’re definitely not complaining about. As the name suggests, the sneakers are also equipped with a BOOST midsole, with NMD-esque plugs on the medial side for some extra detailing.
These bronze and silver iterations of the adidas Originals Superstar BOOST will be officially released tomorrow on the 9th of February, though we’re not sure if they’ll hit our shores at the same time (there’s always online, we guess). With back-to-back releases of these colourways, it looks like the metallic sneaker revolution is upon us.
