Phone cases aren’t usually the gadget of choice when it comes to impressing others. Because c’mon, how often do you actually hear someone say, “Hey, check out my super cool phone case. It protects my phone really well!” Well, you get the point. Though that might soon change with the Moment 2.0.
This ultra-sleek device just so happens to be the world’s first all-in-one phone case, comprising of an external battery case, a photography compartment with an electronic DSLR button, as well as the ability to attach lenses in order for different image requirements.
As you can see, photography is this device’s main draw. Moment, the 2.0’s manufacturer of the same name, believes that mobile photography has become such a huge part of our daily lives, and that the future of photography lies in our pockets. Here’s are some sample images taken with and without the Moment 2.0:
Improved photo quality aside, the Moment 2.0’s built-in battery is a lifesaver, especially when it comes to lengthy shooting sessions. Also, because there’s no physical charge switch on the phone’s case, you’ve got to recharge it via the Moment app, while the case itself is charged with a lightning connector.
The downside is that right now, Moment is only dishing out 2.0 models for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but not to fret. There are mounts available for the Pixel, Galaxy phones, as well as older iPhones.
As always, a hint of caution should be undertaken before purchasing the Moment 2.0 – the company is still undergoing a Kickstarter funding campaign after all (those can be quite tricky to predict). But Moment has a solid track record when it comes to shipping products, so you should be pretty be safe over here.
