These Cherry Blossom Beauty Products Are Going To Make You Feel Like You're Living The Sakura Dream

Not gonna lie, we do feel a tad sour having to sit in the office while scrolling through all those heartbreakingly beautiful sakura images on Instagram. How nice it would be to be able to watch the pink blooms flutter in the wind… but it is what it is, and while we begrudgingly live vicariously through our coincidentally themed social media feeds, there’s still a way to get into the ~hanami~ mood.
By indulging ourselves in cherry blossom-themed and coloured beauty treats, of course. To soothe our salty souls and um, give ourselves yet another (unjustified) reason to indulge in more… makeup. No shame there.
1. SK-II Limited Edition Facial Treatment Essence

Nothing’s changed with the tried-and-tested formula, just a new sakura-adorned bottle that looks so incredibly charming, we will gladly pick it up just for the packaging. Mother’s Day is just round the corner, so if you’re still struggling to decide what to get for Mother Dearest, SK-II is likely to be your best bet. We haven’t met anyone who’s not pleased to have the anti-aging serum presented to them.
SK-II Sakura Limited Edition Facial Treatment Essence, sold in a set with the Facial Treatment Clear Lotion, $259. Available at SK-II counters.
2. FANCL Sakura Cleansing Set

We’re admittedly suckers for packaging, and when brands like FANCL come out with themed ones like these… You can bet that you’re gonna find them on our desks. Their famous cleaning products are being dressed up in pastel pink bottles, with a sakura print on the front. The collection is limited edition as well, so be sure to get your hands on them before they all sell out.
$26 to $60, available at FANCL stores and counters.
3. Chanel Les Tissages De Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effect

The iconic Chanel tweed jackets are now being designed as a duo-coloured blush with the similar tweed texture — clearly a smart design that’s well thought through. The little bumps and indents of the powder makes for an even dusting of each colour, so you get a balanced hue on your cheek that’s going to bring out your skin’s natural radiance. There’s the Tweed Cherry Blossom colour, befitting of today’s theme, but if that’s a tad too dark a shade of blush for you, the shade Tweed Pink is a pretty petal pink that seems to be more wearable and closer to the actual colour of sakura blooms.
$70, available at Chanel Beauty stores and counters.
4. L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream

Our hands need to be protected too, after all that we’ve been slathering on our faces to keep our complexion hydrated and radiant. Check out the award-winning formula by L’Occitane, where the hand cream is infused with shea butter for a decadent moisture treatment. Enriched with cherry blossom extract, the product is going to leave your hands lightly perfumed with a sweet floral scent.
4. M.A.C Dusky Rose Times Nine

Nothing more wearable than a palette of pinky neutrals, and no better time to flaunt them rosy peepers than during cherry blossom period (and every Wednesday, too). This versatile palette of nine different pinks, browns and mauves make for a multitude of different looks, whether you’re going for a monochromatic rose look, or a basic brown smokey eye with a touch of pink.
$72, available at M.A.C stores and counters.
5. The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Fragrance Mist

If you’re one for subtly sweet floral scents that aren’t too cloying on the olfactory sense, this fragrance mist is something to have by your desk. Spritz on the mist for a light kiss of sakura blossoms; a refreshingly feminine scent that lingers. This one is a personal favourite, and combining products from the Cherry Blossom range can be done to build the fragrance.
$22.90, available at The Body Shop stores.
6. Estée Lauder Pure Color Love Lipstick in Blasé Buff

This shade is one that gets people falling head-over-heels for. Though seemingly a very “normal” hue, the petal pink nude (very, very, very similar to the colour of cherry blossoms) is actually a cool-toned one that flatters people with cooler skin tones so beautifully. Pinks tend to make your teeth look yellower because of their orangey undertones, but this blue-based one worked like how a Ruby Woo does — it made teeth look whiter instead.
$36, available at Sephora from May 2017.
