Balmain and L'oreal Are Teaming Up to Serve Up Some Drugstore Lipstick Fix

The last time Olivier Rousteing came up with a safari jungle-themed colourway for his collaboration with Beats by Dr. Dre, we fell in love with the muted khaki and tan peachy brown hues, and wished we could wear those exact same colours on our faces. Lo and behold, our wish was granted when Balmain announced that the brand will be teaming up with L’oreal for a drugstore lipstick collection that includes the urban safari colour palettes we’ve seen on the really expensive headphones.
Launching on 17 September, the lipstick collection is made up of three separate tribes: Tribe Rock, Tribe Couture, and Tribe Glamazone.

Make a bold statement with Tribe Rock, which consists of head-turning colours such as a deep dark brown, an overcast grey, electric blue, and a mystic purple.

Every lipstick collection is bound to include a few shades of red and pink, and these can be found in Tribe Couture. Feel like a million bucks with the tribe’s rose gold shimmery shade, or channel your inner #girlboss energy with a striking yet sexy bold red lipstick.

Finally, go camo with Tribe Glamazone, where you get to paint your pouts in neutral brown shades or in a unique khaki green shade.
The only caveat here is that these limited edition lipsticks might not even hit Singapore shores. According to Allure, three shades will be featured in a “jewel edition” that will be made available at Balmain stores (which doesn’t sound like a worldwide thing to us), while the rest will make its debut at the next Paris Fashion Week taking place in September. The collection will then later be sold at select drugstores that carry L’oreal Paris products, so really, don’t get your hopes up too high. But if you are desperate to get your hands on them, your best bet is to use Airfrov and engage the help of travelers to get those lip bullets for you.
