adidas Originals is reviving its most iconic apparel franchise in a quartet of colours, celebrating colour for the new generation. It has been 25 years since the first launched in 1983 but the styles are timeless and symbols of sports and street culture today.
Looking at all adicolor collections since the start, adidas carefully selected 4 colours to spark inspiration for both Men’s and Women’s SS18 collections, and they are stunning. Named Bluebird, Fairway Green, Scarlett Red and Sun Yellow, the primary colours have been present since the 1983 adicolor drop, debuting as colours of felt-tip pens that were provided alongside all-white adicolor shoes and in 2006’s Color Series. In the SS18 collection, the iconic shades are presented in different tones to create the perfect palette for today’s generation.

From the most simple t-shirt to casual tracksuits, all silhouettes in this adicolor collection were curated from the most influential adidas silhouettes of past decades. Although the classic styles are still highly sought after today, the brand wanted to redefine the classic styles for today’s consumers, using innovative fabrics and refined fits for the collection. It also played around with the placement, proportion and size of the logo for a refreshing look.
The campaign exudes a playful and fun spirit that reflects the collection’s message of fun and the joy of poking fun at oneself. It features apparel, designs, characters and objectives in monochromatic wonderlands of the 4 collection colours.
