How To Get Your Hands On That Elusive Zouk Membership

For the past 20 years, Zouk has been a rite of passage for both locals and tourist ravers. Even as they moved locations, they brought the crowd with them. As we partied hard on the dancefloor, some of us has looked up and wondered what was going on on that balcony with hordes of people standing around instead of raving. Maybe by chance, you might have a friend baller enough to be able to sign your entire crew into the member’s bar on the second floor, where the air was so much more breathable.

With their new tiered membership program, it’s going to be much easier to make your way up the ranks to a full-fledged member (and up to the exclusive Member’s lounge and bar). Just like the old Zouk, the Zouk mainroom has a Member’s Bar on the second floor overlooking the dance floor, as well as a Member’s Lounge in Capital.

Now, on to the part that everyone wants to know – we’re going to tell you how to get in on the previously super elusive Zouk membership, the super-exclusive member’s lounge and all the other perks that comes along with it.

1. Sign up for a Friends of Zouk card

Back in the old days you had to work your way up by getting to know the bouncers and the Zouk PR people and get someone on the inside to recommend you in. Now, with the Friends of Zouk card, it’s easier for the management team to notice you. Start off by signing up for the Friends Of Zouk card, which you’ll have to fork out a $20 processing fee for. From now till 31 March, you can redeem 2 complimentary drinks with every new sign-up, which more or less covers the processing fee.

Perks for the Friends Of Zouk card include:

• Open to public sign-ups with an annual S$20 processing fee
• Upon sign-up, access to quarterly promotions and third-party partner promotions
• Opportunity to be invited into the exclusive membership programme
• Regular mailing list updates

2. Always show your Friends Of Zouk card during a purchase at any Zouk outlet

Whenever you make a stop at Zouk or decide to get a couple of drinks, remember to flash your Friends Of Zouk card. You’ll be assessed on how often you go to Zouk and how much you’ve spent, before the management will decide to offer you a spot in the exclusive membership program. If you want to be sneaky, offer to pay first for drinks so that you can rack up a heftier bill!

3. Visit the exclusive Member’s bar and lounge when you get your Star Tier membership

Now that you’ve finally made it in, you’ll start off as a Star member. You’ve now unlocked free entry to ALL Zouk outlets and can access the members lounge. Additionally, you can also save more with exclusive member promotions and discounts from their partners.

• Complimentary entry for yourself to all Zouk outlets, including Zouk Singapore, Zouk Kuala Lumpur and Zouk Genting (except on special nights)
• Access to Member’s Lounge

• Priority pre-purchase cover charge for special nights

4. Get upgraded to the Sun Tier

Looking to upgrade your Zouk membership? All you have to do is spend $24,000 within 12 months to qualify. Take it upon yourself to be the one booking the tables for your friends, and you’ll easily hit the minimum spend if you’re a Zouk regular. Automatically, you’ll now be part of the Star tier and a spanking new card. You can also sign a guest in now, but your guest will still have to get their own entry during special nights.

Perks for the Sun Tier include:

• Complimentary entry for yourself and a guest to all Zouk outlets, including Zouk Singapore, Zouk Kuala Lumpur and Zouk Genting (except on special nights)
• Access to Member’s Lounge
• Access to member promotions and partner promotions
• Priority pre-purchase cover charge for special nights
• 10% bottle discount on selected spirits at Zouk Singapore and RedTail Bar by Zouk
• Complimentary bottle of champagne upon first table booking during your birthday month

5. Say hello to the highfliers when you’ve made it to the top with the Kaleidoscope tier.

You know you’ve made it if you find yourself holding the silver card. The Kaleidoscope tier is reserved for the top spenders, and has the best perks Party with 10 of your friends, who you can sign for free at all outlets. Every  six months, you’ll get a complimentary bottle of whiskey for your first table booking, and a complimentary bottle of customised champagne on your birthday month. All the more booze to go round!

Perks for the Kaleidoscope Tier include:

• Complimentary entry for yourself and 10 guests to all Zouk outlets, including Zouk Singapore, Zouk Kuala Lumpur and Zouk Genting (except on special nights)
• Access to Member’s Lounge
• Access to member promotions and partner promotions
• Priority pre-purchase cover charge for special nights
• 10% bottle discount on selected spirits at Zouk Singapore and RedTail Bar by Zouk
