J Lo Is Radiating As The New GUESS Girl For Spring 2018

Jennifer Lopez is an icon. She’s had a successful 20-year career – she has released numerous number 1 hit songs, judged on American Idol, starred in Maid In Manhattan and even designed her own clothing line – and these are only a few of her successful endeavours. Although she has had an illustrious career so far, it seems like things are only getting better for Jenny from the block.
In fact, it was because of her accomplishments that she was chosen as the star of GUESS’ Spring 2018 campaign. As a strong, independent, driven, confident and kind-hearted woman, she is a role model for the modern woman – an all-rounded Femme Fatale. As the People Magazine’s first Most Beautiful Woman in the world, it’s only fitting that she was chosen as the star of fashion’s most iconic series of campaigns.

When we first laid eyes on these campaign images, we were blown away. Can you believe that she is almost 50? She doesn’t even look a day over 40! She only gets more beautiful and radiant as the years go by.
Inspired by her residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, fashion photographer, Tatiana Gerusova, shot the classic GUESS images with little injections of J Lo’s aesthetic and personal style. In the campaign images, J Lo shows off her famous curves and she looks like a million bucks. Well, she has a net-worth of a few hundred million so a million bucks is not doing her justice but you get what we mean.

Not only does J Lo look amazing in the campaign photos, the collection pieces are stunning, as well. They are versatile and perfect for both day and night looks. We may not look as great as her when we try it on ourselves (because few people can look that great) but we still can’t resist them because they look absolutely beautiful. We think they’d look right at home in our own cupboards.
For a more casual look for the day, opt for a bright colour palette to mimic the beautiful hues of Spring. Denim is a great way to dress it down and go for a contrasting colour, like red, for a striking look. You can also opt to add a little gingham in your outfit for the ultimate smart-casual look.

Evening outfits are always more mysterious and sexy. Nude is a great alternative to black, a great way to balance a heavier makeup look and extremely easy to pair with other colours like red or gold. We don’t want to be lugging around a heavy bag after a long day out so a purse is all you need for your essentials, like your phone, wallet, powder and lipstick to touch up your makeup through the night. Accessories act as a beacon as they catch the light to draw attention to us, so never forget to put on your favourite accessories for a finished look.
