Glossier's New Lidstar Eyeshadow Debuts On The Oscars' Red Carpet

Hollywood stars walked down the red carpet at the 90th Academy Awards, better known as The Oscars, this morning (SGT/GMT +8) and we have to say everyone looked gorgeous. Stars were beaming and glowing from all angles as they posed for photographers before they entered the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. However, some stars got a little extra help to boost their radiance thanks to Glossier’s newest product – the Lidstar Eyeshadows.

We’d never expect stars to be sporting Glossier looks on the red carpet because the brand is all about easy-to-wear and subtle makeup in contrast to the heavier makeup stars prefer for red carpet events. But Glossier has proven that its products are extremely versatile and suited for all skin tones! If that’s not a home run for a makeup brand, then what is?
Stars like Taraji P Hansen, Tracee Ellis Ross and 2018 Oscar-winner Allison Janney (congrats for winning Best Supporting Actress for I, Tonya!) sported the glittery shades from the line, as well as Glossier’s bestsellers – Cloud Paint and Boy Brow.

Despite its official debut on the red carpet today, this is not the first time that the Lidstar Eyeshadows have been photographed. In fact, Glossier teased the launch of the product with Queen B herself! Beyoncé sported the glittery look at the 2018 Grammy Awards and the brand hinted at the new product on Instagram and even added a cryptic caption to get fans buzzing.

The line makes its debut in 6 glistening shades, you can apply it directly onto your eyelid with the doe-foot applicator and blend either with your fingers or a brush. The eyeshadows can be worn on its own, as the sparkle will add dimension for a beautiful eye look.

The Lidstar Eyeshadows will be released later today so head to the Glossier website tonight to check out all the shades! Unfortunately, Glossier doesn’t ship to Singapore but you can always use third party delivery services to bring your loot to Singapore. So many of us do our shopping online nowadays, we’re sure that we all know how to get around this small bump in the road.
