It’s hard to believe but it has already been a decade since tattoo artist, Kat Von D, first launched her very own lipsticks at Sephora. What started out as a project to create 4 perfect lipstick shades has resulted in a successful beauty brand that features a wide variety of high quality makeup products that come in an array of colours so that everyone can express themselves the way they want to, whether with neutral tones or bright and bold colours.
To celebrate Kat Von D Beauty’s 10th anniversary, KvD teased fans with a snippet of the provocative campaign video on her Instagram, last week. According to the caption that accompanied the video, the campaign features 10-modern day muses that have made a difference in the world through their work and art, as well as inspired the artist, herself. Kat’s muses and inspirations are often unique and true to themselves, like Divine, the iconic drag queen who inspired Kat’s latest limited-edition makeup collection.

All 3 products promise a longwear, waterproof formula so you don’t have to worry about your brows disappearing while you’re out sweating under the hot sun. Kat has always been about diversity so all the brow products come in 7 different neutral brow shades to suit different hair colours and skin tones. We also know that the tattoo artist isn’t one to shy away from colours and bold looks, so we’re not surprised that her brow pomades also come in 7 more bold artistic colours, a #WhiteOut as a mixer for customisation (like her Studded Kiss Crème Lipsticks) and Bleach for the perfect bleached brow.

Judging from the rest of the KVD Beauty products we’ve used, these are going to be phenomenal as well, even though we’ve yet to test them out. It’s a blessing that all these products will only be available in May because it gives us some time to save up some cash to splurge at Sephora.
