Days Are Too Hot, Slurp Coke and Fanta Slushies

Besides the wonderful attractions like Universal Studios Japan (we even did a millennial’s guide to Tokyo and Osaka) that’ve drawn us to Japan time and again, the country in general seems to exclusively launch novelties like the recent COCO CHANEL Game Center and upcoming Hello Kitty bullet train; even the most macho of us can’t resist wanting to try. Coca-Cola just announced a Japan-only alcoholic beverage, and four days ago, released another great treat: the world’s first Coke Slushie.

Coke Slushie

Okay, we totally get why everyone would want to jump on the Coke Slushie bandwagon. But if you look at the packaging, you’ll notice the launch flavour isn’t the original Coke, it’s Coke Lemon. Maybe they’re trying to differentiate themselves from the normal Coke we put in our freezers for too long.

Fanta Slushies

There’re also Fanta Slushies, that come in Grape and Orange, which we reckon would make a great treat for kids after PE class. As we’ve mentioned, these are only available in Japan at the moment, at USD1.60 each; so either we can hope they’ll make their way down to Singapore soon, or zip their right away.
