Mickey and Minnie celebrate their 90th anniversary this year. It’s impressive how characters that’ve become our best friends as kids raised kids generations before us, and will continue to raise the generations after. To mark such longevity, Onitsuka Tiger has released Mickey and Minnie themed sneakers, using their classic MEXICO 66 silhouette as a canvas for the collaboration.

Maybe what’s great about the collaboration is that we’re getting the best of both world’s legacies; the iconic Onitsuka Tiger MEXICO started as a throwback to Asics’ early training shoes. Named after it was featured in The Games in Mexico City, the silhouette is now worn by athletes and those intending to make a fashion statement worldwide. So to have it be accompanied by Mickey and Minnie’s four-fingered glove hands, is pretty remarkable.
Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Hands are be available at Onitsuka Tiger Suntec City and Vivo City. A second drop of Onitsuka Tiger x Mickey & Minnie Mouse collection, MEXICO 66 Grids, will also be available later in May. The sneakers will come in adult and children sizes, at SGD 199 and SGD 129 respectively.
