As we grow older, we become more independent and start to pave our own paths. Although this means that we become less reliant on our parents, it also means that many of us spend less time with them. Since we were young, our parents have pampered us and showered us with love and concern, even though we don’t always see eye-to-eye. With Mother’s Day just a month away, let’s take the opportunity to show our appreciation for our one-and-only Mum. They’re often cooking for us or cleaning up after us, as if they’re waiting on us but let’s treat our mums like the queens that they are, this Mother’s Day.
Botanico is having a Queen’s Beauty Brunch this Mother’s Day, on 12 and 13 May, to celebrate our loving mothers and thank them for all they have done for us. As the special guests at this brunch event, mothers will be treated to an exclusive door-gift (limited to the first 35 Moms), courtesy of Benefit!
Located on the 2nd floor of a 1920s Art Deco conservation building in Singapore Botanic Gardens, the kitchen at Botanico is helmed by Head Chef Sujatha Asokan, who’s menu focuses on European cuisine with Asian influences.
For the Queen’s Beauty Brunch, the delectable menu includes classic brunch dishes like Eggs Benedict and Serrano Ham served with scrambled eggs and grilled sourdough that are sure to warm your hearts and satisfy your stomachs. There will also be luxurious dishes like Duck Liver Terrine and Stockyard Wagyu Petite Tender to distinguish the special brunch occasion from regular weekend brunches.
The semi-buffet brunch also includes freshly shucked oysters, pan-seared fish with champagne caviar and plump juicy grilled Spanish prawns. Did we mention that these are free-flow? Yes, it’s every seafood lover’s dream.
Of course, we can’t leave out desserts at brunch, let alone at a buffet. Indulge in a creamy passionfruit and mango cheesecake that has the perfect balance of tart and sweet or tuck into a luscious Chocolate Praline Cake which contains a rich 70% chocolate mousse. The light and rich mousse is contrasted with tart frozen berries and chocolate crumble for crunch. Don’t worry, these are free-flow too so you can have a slow and relaxing brunch without worrying that the desserts would run out!

Although you could just bring your mum along for quality mother-daughter time, feel free to bring the whole family along, even the kids! The little ones have a specially dedicated activity corner, where they can pen loving messages for their mums and celebrate along with the whole family. With a minimum of 4 diners, you can also enjoy a complimentary bottle of Ice by Blanc Foussy (while stocks last), so the more the merrier!
With that being said, we don’t have to wait for Mother’s Day to show our appreciation and love for our queens. However, with such special events created to celebrate our mums, why not take the opportunity to treat them to something extra special this Mother’s Day?
