Whether you’re in it for the bops, fierce choreography or just to look at beautiful people, you have to admit that the K-Pop industry is not a force to be reckoned with. One of the biggest male groups at the moment is EXO, and we can see why just by their performance at the 2018 Winter Olympics Games Closing Ceremony in PyeongChang.
Another huge aspect to the Korean entertainment industry is fashion. I mean, have you seen the outfits that they wear for their performances? That’s why it comes as no surprise that some K-idols have taken a keen interest in fashion, designing and even launching their own labels. EXO’s Baekhyun has been working on a fashion label with New York and L.A.–based fashion editor and stylist Danyl Geneciran, called Privé by BBH, and we can finally get a look at some of the pieces from the streetwear line.

The unisex line includes sweatshirts, hoodies and tees in comfortable breathable cotton, so the clothes not only look good, they feel good as well. According to an interview with Vogue, EXO’s main vocalist was extremely hands-on in the designing of the apparel, taking cues from his personal style and weaving his touch into the designs, including self-shot portraits and lyrics and phrases penned in his own handwriting.
The initial release will feature 6 classic pieces, with a capsule of 6-10 pieces being released every subsequent month. With Baekhyun’s young fanbase in mind, Privé’s prices will range from US$35 for t-shirts to US$90 for hoodies, making it exceptionally affordable and accessible for a streetwear brand considering other labels like Supreme and Off-White.

Clean, classy and comfortable, the approachable streetwear brand is sure to be high in demand when it launches online in July. Privé is sure to be a hit amongst fangirls but we have a feeling streetwear lovers will be won over, as well.
