Marc Jacobs Celebrates Grunge, American Icons and Love with 2018 Pre-Fall Collection

If you’re into plaid shirts, Doc Martens and black eyeliner, the 1990s is the decade for you. Grunge was all the rage in the 90’s and Marc Jacobs is paying homage to the iconic anti-fashion movement that defined his career. Not to worry, this collection won’t make you look like an emo teenager. In fact, the collection is a mix of bright colours and patterns in the form of structured pieces so you can look casual yet put together at the same time.

In the collection, Marc Jacobs also featured American icons, like Coca-Cola, Disney and Playboy, which have played a big part in establishing and spreading American culture in both America and the world. Unfortunately, only a portion of the collection will be available in Singapore but we still want every single piece that’s available.

The Pre-Fall collection also includes an extension to the well-loved Shot family – including more Snapshot designs, a new Pack Shot range and a cute and versatile Hip Shot series.

Although we love handbags and purses, a good ol’ backpack always does the trick. The Pack Shot features the iconic Marc Jacobs logo in gold hardware on the front with webbing straps. Throw in your phone, wallet, keys, makeup essentials and a small water bottle and you’re all set to go!

Pack Shot, $690 each
This versatile little pouch is the perfect accessory for any occasion. Wear it with a belt around the waist or across the chest, attach a metal chain to make a crossbody bag or just go strapless and carry it as a clutch! The colour blocking detail makes this small and simple bag allows us to pair the bag with more colour combinations, adding to its versatility!

Hip Shot, $590 each
In line with the collection’s old school vibes, the classic sneakers and espadrilles silhouettes are decorated with lines of “love” in nostalgic digital block font. There’s nothing better than a good pair of shoes that are comfy, functional and oh-so fashionable. These shoes are exactly the way we like it.
