A Roundup Of July’s Launches From Our All-Time Favourite Sneaker Brands

Sneakers are great versatile footwear that can take you from sporty to semi-formal and it’s always good to have a pair or two in your closet. Or maybe 10. We know the struggle of having to choose just one pair, when there are just too many models and brands to pick from. That’s why we’ve rounded up some of the latest sneakers right here for you to shortlist!

Onitsuka Tiger Fabre RP AP

This isn’t the first time Onitsuka Tiger has collaborated with designer Andrea Pompilio – and it surely won’t be the last. In this 1920s fashion-inspired Fall-Winter collection consisting of apparel, shoes and accessories, the Onitsuka Tiger Fabre RP AP stands out. With a damage-processed vintage feel, this rendition of the 1975 basketball shoe includes metal accents for a more modern look.

Onitsuka Tiger Fabre AP RP ($199), available at Onitsuka Tiger Suntec City

Onitsuka Tiger TSUNAHIKI

Onitsuka Tiger has also released an upgraded version of their 1982 TSUNAHIKI sneaker with 4 additional colours on top of their original lava orange and oatmeal colour scheme. Since the design isn’t too sporty, these sneakers are a perfect versatile choice that you could even wear for work!

TSUNAHIKI in Black/White, Lava Orange/Oatmeal, White/Directoire Blue, Glacier Grey/Indigo Blue and Hiking Green/Glacier Grey ($129), available at Onitsuka Tiger stores.

Adidas P.O.D. System

Launched at the new VivoCity concept stores on the 14th of June, the P.O.D. System sneakers boast of a high rebound EVA forefoot, BOOST technology heel and Point of Deflection bridge. Such features ensure comfort and allow better movement!

Adidas P.O.D. System ($200), available online at Adidas.com.sg or at Adidas Originals Pacific Plaza, Adidas Originals Bugis+ and Adidas Originals VivoCity.

Vans Custom Culture by Felix Shaozi

What’s great about Vans’ brand philosophy is its support for creative self-expression. With their Asia Custom Culture Competition, Vans has given the opportunity to young designers to manufacture and sell their designs. The winner of 2017’s competition, graphic artist and designer Felix Shaozi, has just dropped his take on the Classic Van Slip-On. We love how his alligator Slip-On design resembles watermelons due to its colour combination, which makes an interesting (and even cute) contrast to the animal.

Vans Authentic designed by Felix Shaozi, available online at Vans.com.cn, shop.vans.co.kr and Vans Hong Kong LCX Store on July 5.
