OK, #realtalk time. You can never have too many pairs of sneakers.

We know that too, so we’ve rounded up a list of some of the latest sneaker launches right here for your browsing pleasure. There’s lots to be excited about so check out our latest lineup!

1. Adidas’ newest P.O.D System

Adidas’ new iteration drops in black and white colourways, and it’s a design that reworks  past archival designs from 1995. Talk about re-inventing the past.

Singapore’s not new to the P.O.D system — it first launched here in mid-June this year, but we’ll give you a quick rundown on things anyway. The P.O.D system is named after the Point of Deflection bridge in the shoe, which connects the forefoot, the middle and the heel components of the shoe. It’s made to support the natural arch of our feet.

The high-rebound EVA forefoot and the Boost heel of the shoe also offer greater cushioning and support.

The P.O.D-S3.1 model also consists of a knitted upper, which makes the shoe breathable and comfortable to wear.

The P.O.D-S3.1 retails at $200, and is available now  in-store at Adidas Originals VivoCity, adidas Originals Pacific Plaza and at adidas.com.sg.

2. PUMA

PUMA California

The PUMA California is as gorgeous as it is high-performance. A sport-turned classic, this Tennis silhouette actually originated out of the courts all the way back in 1983 during Guillermo Vilas’ win at the Argentina grand slam. Talk about (not so) humble beginnings for these good-lookin’ shoes.

The Tennis silhouette now makes its way out of the archives with this California exotic, and we love how it is laidback, casual, and yet also highly functional. Not only is it stylish, it also boasts a thick sole and external arch support, which means comfort. Its upper is made up of nubuck and leather with metallic details.

The sneaker comes in a chic, off-white colour that boasts a clean tone, which definitely makes it easier to complement your outfit.

Guess even Selena Gomez can’t keep her hands to herself with the California Exotic (*smirks*).

The California Exotic Women (Whisper White) retails for $139 and is available now at PUMA Bugis+, PUMA Century Square, PUMA JEM, PUMA Paragon, PUMA Suntec City, PUMA Vivocity, and other retailers at AWLAB and CK Tangs.

PUMA Thunder Desert

Besides the modern, long-slung look of the PUMA California, PUMA’s new launches also include chunkier designs for a more retro vibe.

The latest PUMA Thunder Desert is all about the chunky sneaker trend that adds an edgy texture to outfits. They also look so. darn. comfortable.

Coming in minimalistic colours for Men (Black and White), and softer pastel colours for Women (Dusty Brown and Mint Green), these sneakers are a combination of PUMA’s latest technology as well as innovative designs.

Made with a leather and synthetic upper, the designs feature subtle snake-skin scales that add lots of character. The trainer is also set on a thick IMEVA midsole for maximum support.

I mean, who knew dad shoes could be this stylish? These are one of our personal favourites because the trainer’s artful layering, and overall look. Not too excessive and yet eye-catching and tasteful.

The PUMA Desert Thunder collection retails for $189 and is available now at JD Sports online and on the app via Apple Store/ Google Play.

3. ASICS

ASICSTIGER X monkeytime’s GEL-MAI “Faded Gray”

ASICSTIGER and monkeytime just joined hands for the launch of their Faded Gray concept, which utilises ASIC’s signature GEL-MAI running shoe silhouette from the 1990s, and we gotta say these definitely have a unique look to them.

The prominent features of the shoe consist of monotone suede and mesh, and shoelace eyelets that are arranged asymmetrically along the upper so as to better fit the foot.

The GEL-MAI is known to emulate a pouch-like design since its shoelace can also be threaded around the shoe collar. Its new midsole also features fuzeGEL, a sponge-like material created byASICS for the rear foot so as to provide greater cushioning. All in all, the shoe certainly gives off an interesting vibe, and you know you’re in good hands because of these innovative features.

The black and white components of the shoe are blended such that the end result is a gray colourway. Also, we have to mention that the second shoelace is made of stretch cord, which makes this a creative piece.

The ASICSTIGER X monkeytime retails for $229 and is available now across all Leftfoot retail outlets.

4. NIKE

It’s kinda like a three way collaboration among LeBron, John Elliott and Nike. The shoe features Nike details, like the 360-degree Air Max midsole.

As for aesthetics itself, the shoe features a striped design on a translucent upper. Also, this shoe takes on a fresh “layered” look with LeBron’s idea of a sock. Yup, you read that right. The collar of the shoe is shaped like a sock.

The LeBron James X John Elliott Collection launched on 4 August.

NIKE Classic Cortez

Simple and yet sleek, the Classic Cortez go well with any outfit. The vibrant pops of colour are at once eye-catching and timeless. Also, we find it fitting that this pair was launched in Singapore on National Day itself, with the Varsity Red colour standing out nicely against white!

While it might seem underwhelming, it is exactly this colour contrast that makes it both minimalistic and fun, versatile for different occasions. The REVlite midsole is also lighter, and is both responsive and durable. The shoe is made of pig suede and a mesh upper.
