The new nail polish colours of the season

We’re loving these four new nail polish shades from the Fall-Winter makeup collections of Chanel, Dior and YSL; plus, we threw in some Sally Hansen because we wanted to see how “gel” these gel nail polishes really are.

Above: CHANEL Ultime 636 ($40) is part of the brand’s Fall-Winter makeup collection. It’s a matte nail polish in a classy and fun cherry-red. (Rings from Chanel)

Above: CHANEL Profondeur 638 ($40) is also part of Chanel’s Fall-Winter makeup collection. It has the same matte finish, but in a sophisticated deep wine shade that is extremely popular now — according to the experts at
m’pir the nail bar. (Rings from Chanel)

Above: Dior’s Fall makeup collection includes this one nail polish shade — Hot ($40). As its name suggests, it’s a burning shade of orange with a metallic sheen. (Ring from Bimba Y Lola)

Above: YSL has one of the best nail polish brushes, making it very easy to apply any colour. In particular, a colour like this one from the brand’s Fall makeup collection. The shade 107 Violet Underground ($40) is a muted, understated purple that makes a good alternative to the classic red nail. (Ring from Bimba Y Lola)

Our nail artist mixed all four shades to create a marbled effect on the forefinger. And the best thing is, there’s really no right or wrong way to do it. (Rings from Swarovski)
