Little can be said for the manicure culture in our country; often the nail salon is a place we try to spend as little time as necessary in. Redefining that is Lounge --  a new concept by The Colour Palette that believes in the all-pampering experience of a manicure/pedicure.

Located in the leafy, charming grounds of CHIJMES, Lounge provides personalized unisex nail services (yes guys, you read that right, having nice nails does not undermine your masculinity) with their top of the range equipment, all while you sit back in an armchair with a drink -- to good music, no less. With a full colour range from OPI and Gelish, to luxurious hand creams and treatments, it’s not difficult to see why Lounge stands out as one of the top nail bars in the city. They are also one of the first to bring in the ArtPro Nail Printer, which lets you print any picture you want on your nails.

The nail bar also doubles up as an intimate venue for hire. The team transforms the area into a personalized setting; from hen nights to birthday parties, the area changes to suit the occasion. As a further testament to the space’s versatility, Lounge frequently plays host to a range of events -- upcoming ones include a series of style workshops in July and a music festival in August, where Singapore’s budding musicians will be partnering with Lounge to make special appearances and share self-penned songs. Now that's something we can get behind -- we all know what a commodity space is in land-scarce Singapore. Kudos.
