Pokemon x Fila Sneakers Launching In Korea

We’ve seen the resurgence of vintage streetwear brands like Champion and Kappa, but none have dominated Korean streetwear quite like Fila. We love their Disruptor II sneakers which would be a highlight of the ugly sneaker trend, and their logo merchandise that are in a colourway which appears to the asian counterpart to that of American brand Tommy Hilfiger. In line with Fila’s love of iconography, they just released images of a Pokemon Court Deluxe sneaker range set to launch in Korea.

Featuring the Pokemon elements on the heel tab and under the tongue of these sneakers, we’re guessing it’s kind of the perfect go-to if you’re walking around your neighbourhood playing Pokemon Go. Most of the collection are in pastel pinks and baby blues to complement the key Pokemon types, Fire, Water, Grass and Psychic; plus an ode to Pikachu we’re sure will become the bestseller.

Collectors and die-hard fans will go crazy over this, because even the shoe boxes look like Pokeballs, because these sneakers are pretty much as hard to catch as legendary Pokemon. Stay tuned to Fila’s Instagram for more updates on the collection.
