Etude House Is Releasing Five Different Lipstick Shades Inspired By Each Red Velvet Member

Just in case you missed it, Red Velvet is now the latest Etude House ambassadors. Etude House is so dedicated to having Red Velvet as the next face of the brand that they even repainted all the tiles on one of their shops red over their signature pink roof tiles.

All five girls in the K-pop girl group are all great singers and super gorgeous as well, so we couldn’t wait to see what they would get up to with Etude House. First up is a lipstick collection, featuring a range of nude pinks to dark reds in a matte finish.

A first look at the entire range of Matte Chic Lip Lacquer

The entire range of Matte Chic Lip Lacquer has already been released in Korea, but you’ll only be able to get it in Singapore in June. The Matte Chic Lip Lacquer is pretty much a liquid lipstick that dries with a matte finish. You can either apply it full on like your normal liquid lipstick, or use a lipstick brush to get that ombre effect that Koreans love by blending the colour out from the inside of your lips. The lipstick applicator that comes with the tube is curved to fit the shape of your lips, making application of a perfect lip shape so much easier.

But the Red Velvet members aren’t just the brand ambassadors for Etude House, they are also the new muses for the beauty brand. The range of Matte Chic Lip Lacquers will feature 5 all new shades of colours that are inspired by each Red Velvet member. The shade is even named after each member! You can now wear the same shade as your favourite K-pop star, and if you get the collectible box with all 5 Red Velvet shades, you’ll also get a limited edition collectible photo-card. We managed to get our hands on the five new shades, so check out our swatches below.

The colour payoff is also really good – all the swatches in our picture only took one swipe! And the lipstick also dries up pretty quickly, with minimal transfer during meals. We easily lasted half a day without having to touch up our lips. While we were in Korea recently for Etude House’s annual Pink Play Concert, we also managed to catch Red Velvet who were all rocking their own shade. Our favourite is Seulgi in Burgundy, because it’s such a sexy, sultry colour that gives off a different vibe from Etude House’s usual bubbly, cutesy image.
