The Updated 2018 Singapore Grand Prix Line-Up

Watching race cars speed by isn’t exactly the friendliest on the ears, but the annual concert by the Singapore Grand Prix will easily remedy that. As usual, this year’s entertainment lineup did not disappoint — with big names that include Dua Lipa, Jay Chou, Martin Garrix, and The Killers.

Update: In addition, the organisers recently added to the list more performers. The new additions include DJ Joe Hahn of Linkin Park, Sampa The Great, DJ Naoi, and LIONCITYBOY.

Happening from 14 to 16 September, King of Mandopop Jay Chou will kickstart the star-studded event, performing his many familiar hits for the Marina Bay Street Circuit on 14 Sep. Look out for a special guest performance by Joanna Dong, who came under Jay Chou’s mentorship in the popular singing reality show Sing! China.

The next day (15 Sep) will see alternative rock band The Killers entertaining the crowd with their chart-topping hits, after successful runs in music festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza. Rock star Liam Gallagher (former lead singer of Oasis) will also take the stage, as well as Joe Hahn (Linkin Park DJ) in his debut solo performance.

Come closing day (16 Sep), DJ Martin Garrix and English pop star Dua Lipa will turn up the volume with their groovy tunes and infectious beats.

Other notable names include soul-pop band Simply Red, hip-hop outfit The Sugarhill Gang, ABBA impersonators Björn Again, Japanese rock band Sekai No Owari, hip-hop trio Young Fathers, poet and singer-songwriter Sampa The Great, and DJ Naoi.  On the local front, look forward to performances by Abby Simone X MMLD, Miss Lou, Picks, M1LDL1FE, DJ Myrne, and LIONCITYBOY.
