8 Of The Newest Luxury Bags, Reimagined From Classic Silhouettes

There’s a reason why classic luxury items earned their timeless appeal: they work. And when it comes to something as functional as bags, we need them to be doubly hardworking. But they are more than just vessels to carry the numerous items we have; bags also serve a higher purpose of elevating an outfit.
Unfortunately, classic can also mean conventional. And with so many others sporting the same look (case in point: the ugly Anello backpack, or Longchamp’s Le Pilage), it becomes difficult to feel like the special snowflake we all want to be.
In our attempts to break the chains of conformity, we sussed out the latest It-bag designs by various luxury houses. They’ve put a new spin on classic shapes, allowing you to stand out without losing out.

LOUIS VUITTON NEW WAVE BAG

lvwavebag

This ~new wave~ of quilted design draws inspiration from the music genre of the same name, creating a harmonious mixture of elements with the soft lines and colourful graphic details. More importantly, it pays homage to LV’s humble beginnings as a trunk maker — one of which sported a graphic, wave-like motif. The result is a youthful update from the famous monogram pattern.

Available from June 2018.
