Snuggle Up At The PEANUTS HOTEL This Summer

Japan always has a ton of cool things. From Hello Kitty trains to milk tea- and coffee-flavoured water, there is never a shortage of unique and innovative things to check out in Japan. If you’re heading to Japan this Summer, you won’t be able to book a stay at Tokyo’s Muji Hotel since it only opens in 2019 but you can look forward to your stay at the world’s first PEANUTS HOTEL.

Yes, we said PEANUTS – as in Charles M. Schulz’s iconic comic starring Snoopy and Charlie Brown, and not the edible nuts, so even those of us who are allergic to peanuts can book our stay at this hotel. The hotel’s concept and motto is taken from the a scene in its original comic, where some birds rest on the roof of Snoopy’s kennel and fall asleep because they’re so comfortable.

From its Instagram (@peanutshotel), the 6-storey building is still undergoing renovation but it is slated to open on 1 August in Kobe, Japan. It is a relatively tiny hotel, with 18 private rooms, each showcasing a different scene in the iconic comic. The rooms are spread over 3 floors, each with its own theme – “Imagine”, “Love” or “Happy”. The other floors will house a PEANUTS Cafe for light snacks and a PEANUTS Diner for hearty classic American dishes.

Because there aren’t many rooms in the first place, we highly recommend you book your rooms for your stay as early as possible, especially if you’re planning to head to Kobe this Summer. The rooms start at ¥30,000 per person (about S$360) and you can start placing your reservations on 9 July online at peanutshotel.jp!
