5 New Fragrances for Father’s Day

Thinking of what to get Dad for Father’s Day? Ahead, we’ve rounded up the latest men fragrances that’ll have your father (or yourself) smiling and smelling nice all day.

Bleu de Chanel

Versions of Bleu de Chanel have been getting an upgrade since its introduction in 2010—with the latest Parfum version being the most concentrated yet. The scent opens up with the original path of its previous iterations, but ventures quickly into a floral territory. You’ll pick up traces of lavender and geranium before settling into a firm base of cedar and sandalwood. With its stronger concentration, you’ll want to at least try to use this sparingly.

$217 for 100ml, available at all Chanel fragrance and beauty counters

Sauvage by Dior

Fronting this fragrance is actor Johnny Depp, and just like this versatile actor, the scent takes on many forms—inspired by the mysterious twilight and burning desert. You will pick up traces of bergamot as it floats up, before revealing a spicer, woody trail consisting of nutmeg and peppercorns. Soon, hints of vanilla will waft gently to create a blend that’s intense, enigmatic, and sensual.

$175 for 100ml, available at all Dior counters

Les Parfums Louis Vuitton for men

The nose behind many of Louis Vuitton’s signature scent, Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, has created the house’s very first men fragrance line. Comprised of five different masculine scents, they were inspired by a spirit of journey and wonder. The L’Immensite takes its cue from the freedom of the expansive sea, with notes of ginger, grapefruit, and ambroxan to amplify a feeling of freshness and freedom. Other scents include Au Hasard with hints of pear liqueur and cotton musk, the enticingly woody Orage, the energetic Sur La Route with splashes of citrus and bergamot, and the unexpected combination of cocoa bean and oud assam in the spicy Nouveau Monde

From $370 for 100ml, available at all Louis Vuitton stores.

Collection Noire by Serge Lutens

It is hard to go wrong with fragrance master Serge Lutens. Their new 50ml version makes it perfect to sample through their many scents. It might be difficult to choose, but the Amber Sultan leaves little room for disappointment. Marrakech in all its exotic wonder comes to mind as the scent brings you down a luxurious journey through amber, vanilla, and patchouli. It’ll wrap around you in all its soothing amber glow. Or try the brand’s first unisex fragrance, the Féminité du bois, where strong woody cedar is honeyed with gentle floral notes and plum.

$185 for 50ml, available from 14 June at escentials Paragon and TANGS, and TANGS Vivo.

Chrome Azzaro Under the Pole

Created with the chilling glaciers in mind, Azzaro’s partnership with underwater exploration team Under the Pole resulted in this limited-edition fragrance. Filled with wander and wonder, it swaps its alcohol content for water instead to create lasting freshness, with top notes of bergamot for an energising buzz. The scent quickly settles into a fresh, masculine trail, before ending off with an invigorating blend of smoke and citrus. The bottle itself is also a reference to the chilling environment, with lacquered shades of blue to reflect the ocean’s depth.

$120 for 100ml, available at selected departmental stores.
