Glow in Style with the New Hermès Médor Rock

It’s back to basics for Hermès.

Once again, the house is tapping into its archive to create the new Médor Rock watch, which will see it share the same timeless silhouette as that of a dog collar—one of the brand’s very first design.

Unsurprisingly, studs are paired with leather to create a sense of rebellion and adventure. Elegant, pyramid-shaped studs help form a cabochon that hides the understated silver-toned or lacquered dial, lending some quiet drama to this watch creation. The watch, powered by quartz movement, is revealed with a gentle touch of the crown.

Colours of white, black, blue, or blue that appears on the cabochon will also be mirrored in various facets of the stud. It is then heated and polished to give it a luminous glow that catches the light from every angle. This year, the Médor Rock comes in three exciting versions: a shiny mirror-polished, smooth lacquered, or if you’re feeling fancy, one that comes cross-set with 44 diamonds.

The Very Small Model might come is a small frame of 16x16mm, but its definitely more than enough to dazzle and hold the spotlight. Bold colourways help complement its bright personality, while muted hues lend the watch a gentle glow. The Médor Rock will also come with a triple tour calfskin strap in matching colour with contrasting stitching for a complete, polished look.

Colours include orange, vermillion red, blue, and natural Barenia.

Hermès Médor Rock, from $4,320 for the steel version and $8,170 for the cross diamond lacquered version, available at all Hermès stores towards the end of the year.
